Craneway Winter Crafts Fair

Craneway Winter Crafts FairThe Craneway Winter Crafts Fair is a fantastic place to purchase one-of-a kind holiday gifts, while supporting KPFA and our local artisan community.

The KPFA Winter Crafts Fair showcases 200 of the brightest talents in contemporary art and craft. And it highlights both experienced and emerging designers. They produce one-of-a-kind, handmade and limited edition goods in a wide variety of media.

These artisans and craftspeople combine new and traditional techniques with modern design aesthetics. See this appealingly fresh and innovative work in a myriad of media. From jewelry, wearables and decorative textiles, ceramics, woodwork, glass, photography and painting. And, there will also be gourmet food and body products. Items in all price points will be presented.

In addition to exhibiting artists and fair traders, live music, and a spacious, comfortable food court, we present a special exhibit, “Conversations in Fiber”, featuring the work of three Bay Area master quilters.

There will be live music at the fair from 12 to 5 PM both days.

Food concessions will range from hearty winter soups and sandwiches to specialty coffees, teas, and pastries, as well as a beer and wine bar.

And, there is a free shuttle from the Richmond BART Station.

The Craneway Pavilion was originally a Ford Motor plant. And it was transformed in WWII for the war effort. On site is the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historic Park Visitor Education Center, which will be open over the weekend. And admission is free to the visitor center. The Craneway’s natural light is stunning. It has received numerous awards for its architecture. Its location on the waterfront and 180 degree views of the San Francisco Bay are breathtaking.
