The El Diablo Cocktail is iconic, and often overlooked. It features tequila, crème de cassis, lime and ginger beer.

It’s perfect for Halloween parties or sipping on while waiting for trick-or-treaters…especially if you add a drop or two of diabolical purple food coloring.

Makes one cocktail

Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2ounce crème de cassis
1/2 ounce lime juice
ginger beer (about 2 to 3 ounces)
fresh blackberries for garnish

Directions
Pour the tequila, crème de cassis, and lime juice in a shaker, and shake to mix.

Strain the liquid into an ice-filled glass. A Collins glass is traditional, but goblets are spookier.

Top the drink with ginger beer, and garnish with fresh blackberries and an optional sprig of mint.
