Wright’s Beach, Bodega Bay
Try to get a spot facing the ocean, you might get to see whales frolicking so close to shore you don’t need binoculars. There’s a great hiking trail on the cliff above that goes all the way to Goat Rock. 3095 Highway 1, Bodega Bay.

Costanoa
Located on the coast between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. It includes a campground, RV hookups, tent cabins, lodge and restaurant. Lots of trails and miles of beach. 2001 Rossi Road at Highway 1, Pescadero.

Cotillion Garden
A favorite in the redwoods. With tent and full-hookup RV sites.
300 Old Big Trees Road, Felton.

Memorial Park
Loma Mar (La Honda area) about 45 minutes from Redwood City. There is a trail down to the creek, where kids can play, ranger-led hikes and beautiful, old redwood trees along the trails.
9500 Pescadero Creek Road, Loma Mar.

Portola Redwoods State Park
La Honda off Skyline Boulevard and Alpine Road. With two creeks in the park and all kinds of beautiful trails through the redwoods—one leads to a waterfall. 9000 Portola State Park Road, La Honda.
