Tradition says the reason it is called Leap Year started with English law not recognizing February 29th as a legal day for business—therefore it is leapt over with business transactions to occur on March 1st.

Contemporary lore claims that nothing counts today—including calories and other forms of consumption. So pour yourself this special Leap Year Cocktail, and serve up some Eggs Sardou for dinner…breakfast for dinner doesn’t get any better.
