Today is Plaid Friday in Oakland. Forego the big box stores, walk the Avenue, meet neighbors, and visit local businesses.

Help us celebrate by wearing plaid while shopping at participating businesses on Friday, November 27th. Look for  plaid placards at our local shops—many are offering specials today.

And don’t forget to stop by the store to say hello, and perhaps grab a bowl of soup or other treat from our hot food bar.
