13th Annual Piedmont Turkey Trot

Piedmont Grocery is joining other Avenue sponsors by donating pumpkin pies for the winners, and 20 cases of bananas to boost potassium for the runners. We have employees running the race, and guess who will be greeting runners at the finish line? Piedmont Grocery’s own David Larson, of course.

More than 2,000 participants are expected to join the fun to unleash a preemptive strike on holiday calories before digging into the Thanksgiving feast this Thursday.

Over the past 12 years, the Piedmont Turkey Trot has grown to be a treasured event for many families, friends and neighbors.  Run to win or walk to enjoy the brisk morning air and good cheer.  And all those finishing the 3-mile course will have bragging rights at their Thanksgiving table that evening!
