The Caipirinha

The Caipirinha, Brazil’s national cocktail, is made with a sugar cane rum known as cachaça, limes and sugar, it’s a refreshing, cold, tart, and sweet at the same time.

The Caipirinha
Ingredients
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
1 small lime, cut into wedges
Ice cubes
2 ounces Cachaça or white rum

Directions
Muddle sugar and lime wedges in the bottom of a pint glass.

Fill the glass with ice cubes, top off with Cachaça, and stir again.

Stir briefly and garnish with a lime wheel if desired.
