Sometimes we would like to eat out on Christmas Day. And, although the vast majority of restaurants are closed for the holiday some remain open—and it’s not only Chinese Food!

The Claremont Club & Spa is hosting a Christmas Day brunch buffet that includes live music and a Santa and Mrs. Claus meet and greet. Seatings are at 10 AM, 12:30 PM. and 3 PM.

Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse is open from 11:30 to 2 PM and from 5 to 9 PM on Christmas Day. Choose from up to 16 different types of rotisserie meats, as well as 50+ signature seafood, salads and hot dishes.

Little Shin Shin Our local Chinese standby will be open on Christmas Day from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

Lungomare will be serving a Christmas buffet with an Italian twist from Noon to 8 PM.

King Yen Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan fare for Christmas Day. The restaurant will be open from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM

Quinn’s Lighthouse Restaurant & Pub This American seafood restaurant is offering its regular menu on Christmas from 11:30 AM to 9 PM.
1951 Embarcadero, Oakland

Saul’s Restaurant and Delicatessen This Berkeley Jewish deli will be open Christmas Day with its regular menu as well as special Hanukkah menu items, like sufganiyot and crispy latkes. Hours are 8 AM to 9 PM
1475 Shattuck Ave. (near Vine Street), Berkeley

Zino will serve a traditional Christmas Day brunch from 10 AM to 3 PM. There will be holiday dishes, such as lemon rosemary chicken and Ōra King salmon, and a dessert station offering pies, cakes and sweet treats. Tickets can be purchased online.
