Nihonmachi Street Fair The 47th Annual Nihonmachi Street Fair is this weekend, August 7th & 8th in the heart of San Francisco’s Japantown district. This well-loved festival celebrates the diversity of the Asian-Pacific American cultures. Here you will find performances, art, music, food, and community outreach programs.

Live Entertainment
On their main stage at the Peace Plaza, you will find lie entertainment all day long.

Children’s World is the perfect place to introduce your children to the culture and heritage of the communities celebrated at this year’s Nihonmachi Street Fair. They learn through participating in Asian-inspired crafts and games.

The Artisans Area is where you will find hundreds of Asian-inspired pieces from artists from all around the area—everything from photography to jewelry to apparel. You will also find some great kids’ toys.

The Food Fest has a variety of more traditional Asian cuisines as well as local favorites.

Info Booths (Saturday only) range from donor programs to newspaper agencies.

Sounds of Thunder Car Show (Sunday Only) featuring vintage autos from noon to 5 PM.
