International Aisle

CroissantSomewhere over the course of the last 50 years, the demographics of Oakland changed. Our customers began asking for certain products, so we began to add these new foods to our International Aisle.

Our British expats know that they can pick up what is an acquired taste for many–vegemite. We have German egg noodles that seem to fly off the shelves. Spanish foods include tinned tuna that has little resemblance to the Starkist that we use in our tuna fish sandwiches.

As the demographics of Oakland continue to evolve, so the international aisle remains a work in progress.
