The Olympic Opening Ceremonies are this Friday and there is so much to be excited about. For the first time in history, the Opening Ceremonies won’t begin in a stadium, but on a river. The parade of athletes will travel along the Seine, which runs through the heart of Paris.

On top of the 10,500 athletes who will participate in the parade, 3,000 dancers, artists, and athletes will be featured between the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

How to watch
A preview of the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony will air on NBC at 3 PM Pacific. Live coverage of the Opening Ceremony begins at 3:30. The Ceremony is expected to last over three hours.

Live and tape-delayed coverage of the Opening Ceremony will be shown on NBC. The complete Opening and Closing Ceremonies schedule is available on the NBC Olympics schedule page.

All live streams of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies are also available to watch on mobile, tablet, and connected TV devices via the Peacock, NBC, and NBC Olympics apps.

What to eat
Friday after work can be a tricky time to prepare a meal before watching. We recommend that you enjoy the ceremonies with a good glass of French wine and a Charcuterie board. You can gather all the ingredients a day or so in advance and then simply arrange them on a board with all your favorites.

Check out our Charcuterie post for inspiration. There is also a great recipe for making your own Country Paté.
