The Alameda County Community Food Bank needs your support now as much as ever due to increased need with rising inflation. Our local food bank does an immense service. Today, 1 in 5 of our neighbors in Alameda County experience hunger.

Covid-19 response
Alameda County Community Food Bank is an emergency response organization. They have at least a month’s worth of food in reserves and are ramping up food purchasing as their food distribution is increasing.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, they have added 28 distribution sites and are working with partner agencies, along with 11 school districts to ensure our community has access to food. They are increasing production of emergency rood bags that contain a few days’ worth of shelf-stable groceries. And, they are in regular contact with partners, legislators. and other key contacts throughout the County to develop contingencies for sourcing and distributing food.
