Black Joy Parade this Sunday in Oakland

Black Joy ParadeOakland’s first Black Joy Parade is a great way to celebrate Black History Month
It is time for people to gather to celebrate. This family-friendly, hyper-positive event also features food trucks, black artists, and a performance by The Seshen—a terrific R&B band.

And, Black Joy welcomes everyone of all races and ethnicities — so long as you are joining in the upbeat and celebratory vibe. The invitation is to be creative, open, present, and free while we celebrate the black community’s contribution to cultures past, present, and future.

The parade begins at 12:30 PM on Sunday, February 25th. The route runs from 14th and Alice Streets to Broadway and Berkeley L. Thomas Way.
