Black X Film Festival

Black X Film FestivalThe Black X Film Festival is a three-day online film festival started by a collective of Black artists and allies to showcase Black creators. Through providing this free event of music and film, they showcase the multifaceted expressions of the Black experience by centering Black resilience and a commitment to anti-racism.

The three-day festival will take place online and includes an opening ceremony, film screenings, and special events with established Black filmmakers who will share their reflections on being a creative in the industry.

The Black X Film Festival is the creation of an international collective of Black artists and allies who came together from our various communities and are collaborating as arts administrators, feature filmmakers, CCA alum, and Academy Award nominees.

Kick-Off on Friday, September 25th at 5 PM
Award winning stand-up comedian, Sampson McCormick will deliver opening remarks to kick off Black X Film Festival. Followed by a special segment on WBS News providing satirical steps on How to be Woke. Then follow Sirius Lee: The Problematic Time Transplant as time travel, martial arts and electro-funk collide in this hilarious web series that explores just how little some things change. Be ready to laugh!
