Think New York Delicatessen, 1933. This is the kind of authentic, premium lunch meat you can still find at Piedmont Grocery, thanks to Boar’s Head.

Boar’s Head beginning is reminiscent of Piedmont Grocery’s story. It started in New York in 1905 when meats were delivered by horse-drawn wagon to small delicatessens and “Mom and Pop” stores. Before long, Boar’s Head Brand could be found in all of the best delicatessens, gourmet stores and fine food establishments in the New York area. And we love them because they are still made to standards rarely found in the deli business today.
