One Stage, Five Hours, Forty Comedians!
Comedy Day is the original, longest-running, free outdoor comedy concert in the world. It’s presented on the sloping greens of Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park. This 39th annual event will feature 40 of today’s top comedians from the Bay Area and beyond.

It took a few years and a lot of cooperation from a lot of people to make it happen, but since 1981 more than 750 of the world’s funniest comedians have performed free-of-charge for more than a half-million people at the original outdoor comedy concert, Comedy Day.

Comedy Day also provides outreach programs. Comedy workshops teaching conflict resolution through the use of humor are available for Bay Area public schools throughout the year. They also arrange for comedians to perform for charitable organizations and benefits, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and hospices throughout the Bay Area.
