Born from the sunshine of California’s rolling golden hills, Wagon Wheel is a versatile and snackable cheese. At room temperature, it’s approachable and delicious. When melted…it is liquid gold.

As a snack, Wagon Wheels is delicate and nutty. When melted, it tastes of salted brown butter, heavy cream, roasted leeks, and roasted garlic. Wagon Wheel is beer-friendly and pairs well with a rich Chardonnay, teas with tannins and toasty notes like Hojicha, cooked starches (like pasta, potatoes, grilled bread), and tangy flavors like pickles.

Wagon Wheel is a versatile large format cheese with a washed rind that is aged minimum of 75 days. It is made from organic, single source, forage-based, milk from Straus Family Creamery.

Wagon Wheel was originally created for Zuni Cafe for their pizza menu, it is our go-to melter for grilled cheese, mac & cheese, burgers, raclette, and fondue. And it makes a lovely addition to your cheese platter.
