Figgy Rum Cocktail Recipe
Yields one cocktail

Ingredients
1 ounce aged Ron Abuelo 7-Year Rum
1 ounce fig and brown sugar reduction
3 dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
2 ounces sparkling wine
orange twist for garnish

For the Fig and Brown Sugar Reduction
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped, very ripe, fresh figs

Directions
Make the Brown Sugar Reduction
Combine the water and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the figs and bring the mixture to a boil. Cover, remove from heat and let steep for 25 minutes.

Fine-strain into a glass bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Make the Cocktail
Combine the rum, brown sugar reduction, and bitters in a shaker and shake with ice to chill. Fine-strain into a chilled flute and top with sparkling wine, Garish with an orange twist.
