The Bay Area boasts a number of great museums. And, luckily, each month there are free museum days that include free admission for access to their permanent collections. Some of these programs are on hold due to capacity restrictions during COVID. However, we have compiled a list of museums that are still offering free days.

You may need to pay extra for any special exhibits. And some museums require that you book tickets in advance online.

Asian Art Museum: First Sunday of every month

Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive: First Thursday of every month.

Conservatory of Flowers: First Tuesday of every month

de Young and Legion of Honor: First Tuesday of every month

Japanese Tea Garden: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 to 10 AM

Museum of Craft and Design: Pay What You Can Wednesdays
