Avenue Icon Turns 80
Piedmont Grocery feels festive this week as our owner and President, David Larson is turning 80 years young… Happy Birthday David Larson!

Regular customers know that Mr. Larson can often be seen walking the aisles or up at the check stands bagging groceries. This should occur as no surprise since he has been a part of this store since he was a little boy harassing the bakery staff.

Dave Larson took over the store from his father, Charles Larson, in 1967. And, he has been a fixture in the Piedmont Avenue and Piedmont community ever since. He supports many community members, events, and organizations. And, of course, we can’t forget his long tenure as the Marshall of the Piedmont Avenue Halloween Parade.
