Pliny the Elder for Dad

Pliny the Elder for DadWe are so happy to say we have Pliny the Elder Double India Pale Ale in stock—just in time for Father’s Day.

Pliny the Elder is a great West Coast style beer from the Russian River Brewing Company that goes down smooth and easy. And is one of the most balanced IPAs we’ve ever tasted. Because Pliny the Elder is best enjoyed fresh, it’s made in such a limited supply that it’s hard to get in stock! (They actually print a date on each bottle.)

Pliny the Elder is brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, and Simcoe hops. It is well-balanced with malt, hops, and alcohol, slightly bitter with a fresh hop aroma of floral, citrus, and pine.

Who was Pliny?
Pliny was a scholar, historian, officer, writer, and Roman Naturalist who lived in the first century (23 to 79 A.D.). He and his contemporaries probably created the botanical and also wrote about hops. That was one of the earliest references to an important part of any Double IPA! Pliny the Elder was immortalized by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, who wrote about his uncle succumbing to ash and smoke during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. while rescuing people.

Grab some Pliny the Elder before it sells out!
