Magazine stirs up controversy!

This weeks post comes with news of two new items in our store.

First, we have made a category expansion in the spirits department: Mezcal. This smokey cousin of Tequila is popping up in craft cocktail bars as close as our neighborhood, to the mid-west and New York.

The second item is a new publication, Imbibe Magazine.

This edition of The Cocktail Post has the Slow Fade cocktail pictured on the May/June issue of Imbibe. Its a mezcal-based cocktail from the Chicago bar Analogue created by Henry Prendergast and Robby Haynes.

Slow Fade
1 oz. mezcal
1 oz. blanc vermouth
1 oz. Campari
1/8 oz. elderflower liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitters
grapefruit peel for garnish

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice to chill. Strain into a rocks glass containing one large piece of ice. Twist a grapefruit peel over the drink and then use as a garnish.
