Sparkling Rosé Sangria
Yields one pitcher

Ingredients
1 cup filtered water
4 cups sliced strawberries, divided into two
1/4 cup sugar
Juice of half a lime
1 750 ml bottle dry rosé wine
6 ounces vodka
20 ounces sparkling water
1 pint fresh raspberries
Lemon or lime for garnish (optional)

Directions
Add the water, 2 cups of the strawberries and the sugar to a medium saucepan. Bring it to a boil. Once it has reached a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Using a potato masher or a fork, smash the strawberries. Simmer another 5 minutes. Allow the liquid to cool.

Push the mixture through a fine sieve, reserving the liquid and discarding the solids.

Add the strawberry mixture, lime juice, wine, vodka, and the remaining 2 cups of sliced strawberries to a large pitcher. Allow to sit in the fridge for one hour.

Immediately before serving, add the sparkling water and raspberries. Serve over ice.
