St. Patrick’s Day in the East Bay

St. Patrick's Day in the East BayBeyond the beer crawl…
It is possible to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in the East Bay, get a taste of Irish Culture, and skip the green beer. And, this year it falls on the weekend. Here are our favorite recommendations.

The Starry Plough
Spend Saint Patrick’s Day afternoon and/or evening in a down-home Irish pub with some of the best of Berkeley’s Irish population. And, they are serving a dinner of corned beef and cabbage with Irish soda bread. Enjoy delicious beer on tap, plenty of Irish music, and a friendly atmosphere.

Serving Corned Beef and Cabbage while it lasts. The Starry Plough Dancers at 4 PM will be followed by the McBride School of Irish Dance, and Driving with Fergus will entertain through the evening.
