Thanksgiving Wine Recommendations

Thanksgiving Wine RecommendationsWhat are you drinking with your Thanksgiving meal?
Our experts in our Wine & Spirits Department have come up with three recommendations. All are delicious for their price range. Cheers!

LowBalletto Russian River Valley Pinot Gris
750ml for $15.99
It’s rare to find the complex aromas and nuanced textures that this cool-climate Pinot Gris offers. It’s both savory and fruity; crisp yet velvety, and the finish is long and intense. The wine begins with a magnificent mix of both bright and heady aromatics: lime, honeysuckle, ripe apple, and fresh fig. The texture follows with lovely viscosity and structure that’s balanced with a streak of acidity and minerality.

MiddleHahn “S.L.H” Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
750 ml. for $24.99
Aromas of bright red cherry, strawberry with hints of earth, spices, and toasty oak. An explosion of red fruit including strawberry, cherry, and raspberry welcome the palate finish with refined tannins and a soft mouthfeel.

HighBergstrom Cumberland Reserve Willamette Valley Oregon Pinot Noir
750ml. for $44.99
The perfect marriage of spice, mineral and fresh fruit flavors. Raspberry, spice cake and cola. Wow!

Cumberland Reserve is dark red cherry in color and showcases an explosive and heady aromatic profile of fresh black cherries, red raspberries a slight kirsch note and ripe blueberries. The fruit character is bright and pure and only slightly lifted and framed by great Oregon spice and loamy earth character which adds depth and dimension to this very promising wine.
