It’s an aromatic pink cocktail—a sweet, cherry-flavored spin on the classic martini. This simple-to-prepare libation uses very French ingredients including dry vermouth, kirsch (a cherry brandy), and dry gin. It is delicious for brunch and stands on its own at cocktail hour.

The Rose Cocktail Recipe
Yields 1 cocktail

Ingredients
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
3/4 ounce kirsch
2 ounces dry gin
Ice
Cherry for garnish

Directions
Start by chilling a martini glass in advance.

Mix the cocktail
In a mixing glass, combine the dry vermouth, kirsch, and gin. Add ice and stir to chill.

Strain the cocktail into your chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry.
