With all the meteorological excitement last night, we have decided to give this classic a try — The Thunder and Lightning Cocktail. It’s easy to make and lives up to its namesake.

The Thunder and Lightning Cocktail
Yields one drink

Ingredients
2 to 3 ounces brandy
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon sugar syrup
Pinch cayenne pepper
3 or 4 ice cubes

Directions
Combine all five ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve
