We may not be able to get out of the house to attend concerts, but there are some great ways to bring live and recorded concerts into your home. Both individual artists and organizations are uploading concert footage to the internet for free. And, others are streaming live or concert footage. Check out this list we put together to get you started listening.

SF Symphony
Because concerts are off, for the time being, the San Francisco Symphony has made all episodes of its Keeping Score docu-series free to watch on YouTube. Created in 2004 with musical director Michael Tilson Thomas, the show tells the stories of eight influential composers, including Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Ludwig van Beethoven, Gustav Mahler, and Aaron Copland.

Metropolitan Opera Nightly Opera Stream

Carnegie Hall
Live with Carnegie Hall. Tune in for unforgettable episodes that feature some of the world’s finest artists as they share behind-the-scenes stories, excerpts from past performances, and live musical moments. During the live streams, episodes can also be viewed on the Hall’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

SF Jazz
Fridays at Five Series is a new series of weekly pre-recorded concerts that aspire to connect you – to music, to musicians, to the warm and unique feeling of experiencing live music at the SFJAZZ Center. $5 per month for a digital membership.

Golden Gate Park Virtual Concert Series
Music and outdoor performances have been an important part of Golden Gate Park’s history. They are sharing classics from the park so you can enjoy them from your home or wherever you may be. Tune in each week to watch new artists and performances! This week’s featured concert is Metallica from 2017 Outside Lands and April 18th is Joan Osborne.

One World Together at Home
April 18th at 5 PM
Created to inspire action to end Coronavirus with music and entertainment. The virtual broadcast will show unity among all people who are affected by COVID-19, as well as celebrating and supporting the brave frontline health care workers around the world who are doing incredible, life-saving work.

NPR Tiny Desk Concerts
Tiny Desk Concerts is a video series of live concerts hosted by NPR Music at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen in Washington, D.C. The series includes nearly 1,000 concerts from many genres. And, also check out the Best Of Tiny Desk Concerts playlists.
