Get out and explore the city, and learn about local history and culture. After the tour, stay in the neighborhood for lunch at one of Oakland’s many restaurants—there are new ones opening all the time.

They’re free and great fun, and they start up again in May. So, it’s a good time to make your reservations. The tours don’t involve too much walking, and they happen on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 10. Reservations are recommended. Tours include:
