2009 Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon

Liberty School Cabernet LabelLiberty consistently puts out solid Cabs at a moderately priced, and their 2009 is particularly charming and vibrant. It scored 90 points in Wine Enthusiast Magazine who said,

You get a lot of pleasure from this affordable Cab. It’s dry, moderate in alcohol which gives it a light mouthfeel, and quite pleasant in classic flavors of blackberries, currants and herbs, touched with smoky oak. Elegantly constructed, it’s one of the best Cabernets of the vintage at this price.

Little did they know that the rolling, oak-studded terrain of Paso Robles would one day become one of the top winegrowing regions for quality red wine within the Central Coast.
