California State Fair 2017Good, old-time fun!
This year, the California State Fair celebrates 50 years at Cal Expo. Expect all the animals, exhibits, music and fried foods you’ve grown to love over the years, along with a popular “Whale Tail” exhibit, complete with an intense, marine-themed game of Jenga.

Come to the California State Fair and celebrate California’s agriculture, industry, and diverse population—while having a lot of fun. After taking in a panoramic view of the grounds from the monorail explore the rides, contests, concerts, and family-friendly activities spread across the fairgrounds.

The California State Fair concert series begins on July 17 with Oakland-born Sheila E. The lineup also includes two classic rock tribute bands joining the ranks of several nostalgic bands. County music acts include Adkins (July 27) and John Michael Montgomery (July 15). Rock acts include Lita Ford (July 17), Smash Mouth (July 22) and Blues Traveler (July 24). McKnight and Sister Sledge (July 21) are the two R&B acts slated to perform.
