3. Grab a ferry to the Ferry Terminal for lunch and shopping.

4. Visit an Oakland museum
The Oakland Museum of California and the Chabot Space and Science Center are great ways to pass an afternoon.

5. Visit Tilden
And if you are hanging with the under-8 crowd, Tilden Regional Park has fantastic diversions. Ride the Redwood Valley Railway Steam Trains, Take a spin on the Merry-Go-Round, and visit Tilden’s Little Farm and Nature Center.
