Friday Nights @ OMCAGet your groove on at Friday Nights at OMCA! Join in the best of local food truck cuisine along with music, dance, and children’s art activities, and the whole Museum open late. Enjoy hands-on art activities for kids and a lineup of live music and dance from local performers. Bring friends and family for a taste of local music, food, and culture at the Oakland Museum of California every Friday Night!

What can I do at Friday Nights at OMCA?
Late Night Gallery Hours
5 to 10 PM Explore the Museum’s 110,000 square feet of gallery space until 10 pm, including hands-on exhibitions with interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Queer California Film Series
5 to 10 PM A special late-night screenings of rare films exploring untold stories of California’s LGBTQ+ communities, in conjunction with special exhibition Queer California: Untold Stories. Find out what’s playing.

Music, Dance, and Performance
Resident DJ Wonway Posibul, Caroline Chung Music, Middle Eastern Dance lesson with Monica Berini, and Music by Elephantine.

Family Activities

OMCA is located one block from the Lake Merritt BART Station. Event parking is available at the Museum for a $7 flat-fee after 5 PM. Museum garage closes at 9:30 PM.
