Oakland Greek Festival

Oakland Greek Festival posterThe Oakland Greek Festival will return this weekend. Sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension and celebrating its 51st year, the Friday-through-Sunday festival will kick off at 4 PM May 19th and run through 9 PM May 21st.

Along with the breathtaking panoramic views from the Oakland hills, festival-goers can anticipate their delectable favorites such as gyros, souvlakia, spanakopita, loukoumades, and much more.

Ascension’s award-winning Greek folk dance troupes, historical festival photo displays, tours, lectures, cooking demonstrations, choral performances, as well as live Greek music and dancing are featured throughout the weekend. A unique array of wares and take-home pastries are also available for purchase.
