April 3rd—6th, 2014

The Oakland Film Society supports both new and young filmmakers with telling their stories to the world, and their biggest annual event is the Oakland International Film Festival. Here they showcase Independent films made by Oakland filmmakers and others from around the world. They bring energy to the Oakland arts scene, and help put Oakland on the map as a vibrant arts community.

This year’s festival, in early April, takes place at these locations:

Grand Lake Theater
New Parkway Theater
Oakland Asian American Cultural Center
Black Repertory Theater
