Semifreddi’s Baguettes

Semifreddi's Baguettes

This beloved french loaf is what we reach for time and time again. They arrive fresh every day, and are gobbled up quickly. Semifreddi’s baguettes have their place at the table for any meal, casual or elegant. Semifreddi’s baguettes are just flour, water, salt and yeast…how can this tastes so good? We don’t know what we’d do without them!

Semifreddi’s mission sums up why we love them.

Make the best baked bread and pastries in the universe, offer them at a fair and reasonable price, provide superior customer service, treat our employees like family and give back to the community.

Plus they are East Bay local.

Semifreddi’s Sourdough Baguettes have a lovely balance of sour flavors. The caramelized, crisp crust contrasts with the sour tang of the crumb.

Semifreddi’s Sweet Baguettes contain no sugar, yet have a clean, sweet taste. Inspired by the baguettes of Paris. Great for sandwiches, picnics, and meals.

How to store your baguette
After the first day, baguettes will keep well in a plastic bag in a cool, dry place for several days. To bring back the crust, pop in a warm oven for 5 minutes. And of course, there is always toast! Remember, do not refrigerate–it dries bread out. If you’re looking to keep the love alive, simply freeze your bread and reheat to refresh.

How to freeze
Baguettes should be wrapped tightly in foil and placed in an airtight plastic bag.

How to defrost
Thaw baguettes in foil and plastic bag (to keep natural moisture in) at room temperature. Dampen crust and bake at 350º F for 8 minutes.
