White Peach Summer Sangria

White Peach Summer SangriaSangria is a delicious and festive beverage of Spanish origin. A wine-based punch, the sangria traditionally consists of red wine and chopped fruit.

This summer spin on sangria is made with white wine and white peaches. It is light in color and refreshing in taste. You can make it a day ahead and have it on hand in the fridge when guests arrive.

White Peach Summer Sangria
Yields 1 Pitcher

Ingredients
1 bottle white wine (Spanish table wine)
3 ounces brandy
2 ounces triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
2 ounces simple syrup
3 ounces white peach purée
Fresh white peaches, sliced
Sprigs of mint to garnish

Directions
Make the Simple Syrup
Place equal parts of white sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Allow the simple syrup to cool before using.

Make the Peach Puree
Peel some white peaches (amount will vary depending upon the size of the peaches), discard the pits and puree the peaches in a blender. Add just enough water to make a smooth puree. You want to end up with 3 ounces of purée for this recipe.

Make the Sangria
Pour all the liquid ingredients in a pitcher and stir to mix. Add the sliced peaches.

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 8 hours or up to 48 hours. Serve over ice garnished with a sprig of mint.
