Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut, $77.99
Bollinger’s emblematic champagne encapsulates its entire history. It was the British agent of Georges Bollinger who, in 1911, christened it Special Cuvée, as he found the expression non-vintage brut did not befit a champagne of such subtlety. Over a century later, the name of the champagne emblematic of Bollinger’s expertise still encapsulates its entire history.

This Special Cuvée was truly very… special. It bears out the House’s hallmark know-how and ability to recreate year after year a cuvée with a constancy of style and quality.

Eye
A golden color, distinctive of black grape varieties; very fine bubbles.

Nose
Aromatic complexity with ripe fruit and spicy aromas and hints of roasted apples, compote, and peaches.

Palate
A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity. This champagne bubbles like velvet with aromas of pear, brioche, and spice aromas and notes of fresh walnut.

Champagne Deutz Brut Classic, $57.99
The Champagne Deutz Brut Classic is excellent from start to finish. This most classical of the Deutz cuvées is far from mundane. The three different champagne grapes are blended in equal and unchanging proportions, ensuring it shows perfect harmony.

Eye
The intense golden appearance is topped with a mousse of great finesse—the Deutz signature—characteristic of wines having benefited from long maturation on the lees.

Nose
The wine initially displays floral notes (hawthorn blossom, white flowers), followed by aromas of toast, marzipan, and ripe fruits (apples, pears).

Palate
The freshness of the Chardonnay and the richness of the Pinot Noir enhance the wine’s full-bodied elegance, presenting a wine with finely integrated aromas and a silky texture. The wine is well-rounded with an intensely fruity finish.

J. Lassalle Champagne Cachet Or Brut Premier Cru, $39.99
A blend of all three Champagne grapes with three years sur lies, this is fresh, fruity, creamy, and toasty. The acidity is balanced and gives the wine some richness. Engaging and fun, and absolutely fantastic bubbles at this price.

Eye
This champagne has a gorgeous golden color and you will love its full mouse and accessible, up-front personality.

Nose
The nose is shy with subtle notes of cherry but surprisingly supported by a fresh jolt of bright acidity and the hallmark flavor of pomegranate.

Palate
There’s an open-knit, almost airy feel to this vibrant Champagne, which carries a concentrated range of juicy pear and black raspberry fruit, with hints of crystallized honey. Shows gingersnap biscuit and verbena flavors on the chalky texture, gaining momentum on the racy, zesty finish.
